ODESSA — Gordon “Gordy” Bentler introduced himself as the town’s new deputy to council and visitors at Town Council’s meeting Monday, Jan. 23.

Bentler will start officially in the office Thursday, Jan. 25, but will not be conducting fieldwork. Updates will be given as available.

Lynn Schmidt asked council if StumpJumper event goers could use the Golf Course’s RV waste disposal.

Public Works Director Anthony Paszkeicz said they would have to know the volume to see if the sewage plant could handle it. Paszkeicz said the backhoe is fixed.

Town Clerk Meri Jane Bohn said things are moving along in the office and said the town received 70 registrations for the cats’ and dogs’ licenses.
