Davenport, Reardan players dot All-League team

Rainwater MVP, Henry Coach of Year

SPOKANE VALLEY - The Davenport and Reardan boys were represented on the NE2B North Division All-League Teams in large numbers, as announced at halftime of the District 7 2B girls title game at West Valley High School Saturday, Feb. 11.

Davenport star Tennessee Rainwater was named Most Valuable Player, while head coach Matt Henry was named Coach of the Year.

Senior Brenick Soliday was named to the North All-League First Team, while fellow senior Cash Colbert was named to the Second Team.

The Davenport boys are 22-2 this season and won the District 7 2B title last weekend.

Reardan's boys were represented by sophomore Jakari Singleton on the North All-League First Team. Fellow sophomore Rysen Soliday and senior Logan Flaa were both named to the Second Team.

The Screaming Eagles are 11-14 and finished fifth at the District 7 2B Tournament.

Brenick Soliday and Singleton were joined on the First Team by Shawn Jones and John Nowland of St. George's, Avi West of Northwest Christian and Zane Edwards of Kettle Falls.

Colbert, Rysen Soliday and Flaa were joined on the Second Team by Nate Clark and Asher West of Northwest Christian.

On the girls' side, Davenport eighth-grader Emalie Jacoby and freshman Glenna Soliday were named North All-League First Team. Senior Liz Bell was Reardan's lone female representative, being named to the First Team.

Davenport is 15-10 this season and finished fifth at the District 7 2B Tournament. Reardan was eliminated in the loser-out round and finished 9-14 this season.

Jacoby and Soliday were joined on the First Team by Annika Bergquist and Carsyn Gildehaus of St. George's, Makenzie Ritchie of Northwest Christian and Brooke Bennett of Chewelah.

Bell was joined on the Second Team by Ella Johnson and LaVay Shurrum of Kettle Falls and Georgia Crockett and Paisley Cox of Northwest Christian.

Margreit Galow of St. George's was named girls Most Valuable Player, while Dragons head coach Brad Kirsch was named Coach of the Year.
