Davenport's FBLA Partnership with Business Project co-chairs (L to R) McCall Knopp, Rikkianna Chavelas and Faith Bell.

DAVENPORT - Rikkianna Chavelas, McCall Knopp and Faith Bell, co-chairs of the local FBLA chapter's Partnership with Business project have partnered with Some Like It Hot! Espresso.

From Nov. 23 to Dec. 16, DHS FBLA and Some Like It Hot! Espresso partnered for a campaign called 'Gorillas Go Social' where the lucky winner would win 52 free coffees, DHS and FBLA gear along with other items.

The ways that DHS students could enter the campaign was through following Some Like It Hot! Espresso on social media platforms, buying a drink at the stand and participating in activities presented by the co-chairs at school.

As part of their partnership with Some Like It Hot! Espresso, the co-chairs learned aspects of social media, how to increase engagement, how to advertise a business and how a small business operates. With the co-chairs efforts along with stand owner Traci Linstrum, Some Like It Hot! Espresso saw a drastic increase in their engagement on social media during this time period.

The co-chairs and all FBLA members participated in the competitions and trivia alongside the campaign. FBLA member Chloe Hammond was the winner of the gift basket.
