Jerry L. Brantley Sr.

Former Davenport resident and retired Washington State Trooper Jerry L. Brantley, Sr. passed away March, 2023, at his home in Spokane. Jerry was born in Tokio, Texas on Feb 5th, 1937, to William and Alice Oleta Brantley. Graduated from Brownfield High School in 1956 went on to West Texas State to play football. In 1958 Jerry joined the Army where he was stationed at Geiger Base in Washington. He met and married Katherine Noreen Braun Sept. 1959. They were married for 46 years and had 5 children. In 1966 Jerry joined the Washington State Patrol, served as a Trooper for 28 years patrolling the highways of Washington State. Jerry is proceeded in death by his wife Noreen and one granddaughter Alice Buck. He is survived by his children Becky, Jerry Jr., Bobby, Billy and Sam (Danny); 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Jerry’s memorial service will be held at Davenport Zion Church May 23, at 1:00pm, internment proceeding at 11:00am at the Sassin Cemetry in Edwall, Wash.
