Hospital remodel nears completion

ODESSA — The “final stretch” of a complete Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center remodel and 3,500 square foot addition is here, hospital CEO Brett Antczak told the Lincoln County Commissioners Monday, June 5.

“We have a new ambulance bay that’s heated, a new purchasing area,” Antczak said. “We’re reallocating some of our office spaces, adding a hazardous waste room, getting a new CT scanner and replacing all X-ray equipment.”

The addition is on the east side of the hospital toward Quail Court.

The entire facility is being remodeled, with flooring and painting being redone, lighting being replaced from bulbs to LED lights and a damaged nursing station is being replaced.

Artwork featuring pictures from local photographers will be displayed, Antczak said.

A ribbon cutting is possible in September, he said.
