Beaton joins Free Press

RITZVILLE – A Pasco woman has been hired as a floating general assignment reporter by Free Press Publishing.

Abigail Beaton, 19, began Monday, June 12, covering news in Lincoln, Adams and Franklin Counties.

"Abby is the best applicant for the position that we've had since before gubernatorial COVID-19 shutdowns," Publisher Roger Harnack said. "We're glad to have her aboard."

Beaton will focus mostly on Lind, Othello and Washtucna news in Adams County, but will also cover some news, people and events in the Odessa area for The Record-Times.
