Aug. 21

Traffic stops: 5

A Reardan woman reported a suspicious man in her backyard on the 50000 block of Highway 2 East.

A Reardan woman said she locked her keys in her truck in front of the local post office.

An Edwall woman said a man parked in her yard and claimed he ran out of gas while working for a farmer, but said farmer related the man wasn’t working for him.

An Odessa man said a person violated a court order.

A 911 call came from a woman arguing with a man trying to “get him to leave the property,” but wouldn’t give either name and hung up.

An Odessa woman reported an assault on a woman by the woman’s sister.

A Davenport woman reported a suspicious vehicle with youths inside at the corner of Rocklyn and Mayberry Roads.

A caller reported debris on Highway 2 at Ziemer Road.

Aug. 22

Traffic stops: 5

A basement alarm was reported going off near Lake Roosevelt.

Papers were served to a couple on the 100 block of Washington Street in Davenport.

Papers were served to a couple on the 26700 block of Mean Canyon Trail in Creston.

Cows in the road were reported on Coffeepot and Highline Roads north of Lamona.

A Davenport man someone took a vehicle from his mom’s house on the 41900 block of Porcupine Bay Road and refused to return it.

A youth jumping up and down on a van was reported on Interstate 90 at milepost 246.

A caller said his rear license plate was stolen.

A Wilbur man said he heard his neighbors fighting across the street on the 400 block of Southeast Milmont Street.

A caller reported a silver pickup sitting on Catholic Cemetery Road near Sprague for a day.

Two aggressive people in a parking lot were reported.

A Lincoln Hospital employee said a strange man walked through the front door.

A Dept. of Corrections sergeant requested a welfare check on a deputy that didn’t show up for work.

A caller reported a CRV that crashed into a ditch.

A 78-year-old woman that possibly overdosed was reported.

A Davenport man reported three loose cows.

A Davenport woman said a cell phone was found in the Halme Electric and Pump parking lot.

A Wilbur man said he was having chest pain and shortness of breath.

A Davenport woman said a dog was trying to attack a man’s daughter.

A Reardan man said a woman tied a dog to a post behind his house on the 100 block of Birch Street.

A Creston man reported downed powerlines.

A Sprague woman reported fraud.

A Creston woman said her husband’s car broke down “coming back from the casino.”

Traffic stops: 3

A Davenport woman said a cow moose sat in her yard on the 1300 block of Logan Street.

A Wilbur man reported a car speeding past a flagger.

A Medical Lake woman reported a Toyota swerving across traffic lanes.

A detective from Pennsylvania asked to speak with a manager at Leffel, Otis and Warwick regarding a case he was working on.

A man with two warrants came to the Sheriff’s Office to pick up his vehicle.

A Davenport woman said someone dumped a load of garbage in the middle of Teel Hill Road.

A Sprague man said two men were casing another man’s residence.

A Davenport man asked for help retrieving his mother’s vehicle from his cousin’s house on Merriam Street.

A Davenport woman reported a speeding Chrysler.

A caller said he had a package delivered to a hotel on accident, but another man accepted the package and gave it to someone else.

Trespassing was reported between Sprague city limits and Williams Lake Road.

Traffic stops: 1

A caller reported a stolen bike.

A caller said a woman rented a room at the Sprague Motel but asked not to run her credit card because she’d already run the payment.

A caller said they were concerned about the safety of a child at El Ranchito in Davenport.

An ambulance was requested for a 60-year-old man with blood pressure issues.

A caller reported a person apparently going through a row of mailboxes.

A Davenport woman said her children were arguing and throwing silverware at each other on the 46400 block of Four Corners Road.

Identification theft was reported.

A caller reported bank fraud on her accounts.

A possible field fire was reported on Interstate 90 near milepost 254.

A possible assault was reported on Park Street in Davenport.

A courtesy ride was given to a youth in Davenport.

A Davenport man reported a Dodge Durango parked in the middle of a street.

A caller from Johnson Family Towing said a woman went off the roadway and couldn’t cover the tow cost.

Traffic stops: 6

Grand Coulee Police said they had a man with a Lincoln County warrant.

A Wilbur woman said it sounded like someone was trying to get into her house on the 200 block of Southeast Milmont Street.

A commercial burglary attempt was reported on the 200 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.

A Davenport woman said someone tore up Knack Road by her home near Rocklyn.

A caller said he hit a cow on Debord Road between Redwine Canyon and Halverson Canyon.

Traffic stops: 7

A Davenport man said someone drove over all the road signs on Mayberry Road.

Ephrata Police requested help making an assault arrest.

A caller said he woke up with his firearm missing after a night of drinking at a friend’s house.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 500 block of Ross Street.

A Reardan woman said her neighbors had a large campfire burning on Lake Street.

A caller said her neighbors were violating a burn ban.

A Davenport man said a 93-year-old woman fell and had a laceration.

A Reardan woman said she was heading to Lincoln Hospital after her mother was injured.

Keith Joseph Butters, 44, Chattaroy. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of reckless driving.

Christopher Starn Stout, 46, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault.

Aug. 21

Amanda L. Paszkeicz Smith, 30, Odessa. Arrested by the Odessa Police Department on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

Criminal court-Aug. 24

Leslie Irene Horak, Odessa, driving under the influence. Sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served, a $1,000 fine, 36 months supervised probation and 24 months unsupervised probation.

Brandon Anthony Burton, Moses Lake, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Case dismissed.

David Eugene Heinz, Spokane, operating a vehicle without a title. Case dismissed.

Candelario Rojas, Royal City, second-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to 14 days in jail, a $500 fine and 12 months supervised probation.

Jeffrey Gerald Hodge, Springdale, third-degree driving with a suspended license (dismissed), failure to transfer a title within 45 days (dismissed) and operating a vehicle without a license. Sentenced to three days in jail, 24 hours community service, a $400 fine and 12 months supervised probation.

Jessica Lynn Hester, Spokane Valley, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and a $250 fine.

Mirna Madrigales, Moses Lake, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to three days in jail, 24 hours community service and 12 months supervised probation.

Nathaniel D. Parker, Moses Lake, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours community service and 12 months supervised probation.

Criminal docket-Aug. 22

Judge Jeffrey S. Barkdull

Jesse Paul Bohn, who is charged with first-degree rape of a child, had his trial continued to Nov. 29. A readiness hearing was set for Nov. 7.

Orion Sage White, who is charged with attempting to elude a police vehicle, had his trial continued to Oct. 4. A readiness hearing was set for Sept. 12.

Nicholas Dale Kuest, who is charged with first-degree kidnapping and firearm theft, waived his right to a speedy trial. The court is planning to amend information. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 24 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 15.

Anastasia Brandenburg, who is charged with second-degree identity theft, second-degree theft and third-degree theft, entered a not-guilty plea. A judge ordered her to have no-contact with the alleged victims and was directed to be booked and released in Lincoln County Jail. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 24 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 15.

Damion M. Pegram, who is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, third-degree assault of a healthcare worker, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, third-degree theft, possession of a stolen firearm, first-degree rape and two counts second-degree rape, is expected to have a change of plea on the first five charges. Charge six will go to trial, while charges seven and eight have been dismissed. The change of plea was scheduled for Sept. 12.
