Profile questions (please respond in 100 words or less per answer):

Question 1: Statistics show that statewide, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and related shutdowns that led to learning loss is still felt today. How could the School Board help narrow the gap of learning loss caused by COVID?

I feel we could bring more help into the class room for the children that have fallen behind. We could also look into some learning tool's that might also help to bridge that gap that was left during covid.

Question 2: Earlier this year, some parents vocally and publicly voiced their displeasure with the School District, accusing staff members of mistreating students or ignoring mistreatment against students by others. Do you see this as a problem in the District? If so, how should this be remedied? If not, why do you think those complaints could have been overblown?

As a father of one of those students, I feel we could have done more investigating into the claims with as many parents that came forward there must be some truth to the matter. I also feel that we should be hosting a class for the teacher's to help them understand how to handle children that have special need's and require a different form's of learning. It will befit our team of teachers a lot.

Question 3: How would you help maintain a balanced District budget amidst continually rising costs and inflation mixed with rather stagnant enrollment trends? If budget issues someday led to tough decisions, such as deciding between staff layoffs and program cuts, how would you inform those choices as a Board member?

I personally would like to over look the budget to see where all the money is going, well before thinking of cutting beneficial programs to our students or teacher's job's. If that point came I would like to ask any teacher's that have had numerous complaints or not performing to the job's task, to step down first before thinking of cutting programs that help our children shape their future. We have to keep in mind the kids today are our future and we need what's best for them in the classroom.
