Gustaveson takes first in class
The Davenport wrestling team went to the Royal Christmas Tournament Friday, Dec. 29. Brock Gustaveson won his weight class at 190 pounds.
ROYAL CITY - Wrestlers from Davenport and Reardan spent part of their winter break at the Royal Christmas Tournament Friday, Dec. 29. And the Harrington wrestlers that are part of the Lind-Ritzville athletic co-op were further south, competing in the Pomeroy Christmas Tournament Saturday, Dec. 30.
Davenport's Brock Gustaveson was the lone local champion. Wrestling at 190 pounds, Gustaveson pinned Jayton Caddy of Tonasket in 3:43, Valentin Juarez of Warden in 4:51, Tazrik Perez of Othello in 3:43 and Alexis Paredes of Wapato in 5:55.
