Levy would help fund department
ODESSA — The town is hoping that local taxpayers are willing to help town officials solve an issue that’s been prevalent here for some time: Difficulty finding a second police officer to create a two-person police department.
The solution, the town hopes, is for a levy lid lift to offer a more competitive wage, according to a letter sent to Odessa citizens by Mayor Bill Crossley.
