SPOKANE VALLEY - The girls wrestling teams from Davenport and Reardan opened their seasons finishing 18th and 20th, respectively, at the East Valley Girls Mix-and-Match on Dec. 5.
Davenport scored 32.0 team points; Reardan scored 29.0. The event was won by Cheney, with 140.0 team points.
Emma Cash led the Gorillas with a second-place finish in the 145A class.
She opened the league match by pinning Karissa Potts of Waitsburg in 1:21 and then Alexis Rabaglia of Cheney in 1:13. In her last bout, she lost a 7-0 decision to Annalisa Bouge of Republic.
