Memorial Day ceremonies set for Monday

DAVENPORT — Lincoln County will honor military personnel who died in service on Monday, May 26, marking the unofficial start of summer. Many residents will celebrate with barbecues, picnics, or travel during the extended weekend.

In Davenport, flags will line Morgan Street. The Lincoln County Historical Society will hold a memorial service at Mountain View Cemetery at 10 a.m. Davenport Lions Club volunteers installed flags and flagpoles and cleared sod around mounting pipes, while the high school freshman class will attach the flags to the poles.
