Davenport Airport will be constructing an Automated Weather Observation Station (AWOS) for the increased safety of aircraft and airport operations. The AWOS III-PT will broadcast present weather conditions including: Wind data, temperature, dewpoint, altimeter, density altitude, visibility, precipitation accumulation, cloud height, present weather, and thunderstorm/lightning conditions.
