YAKIMA – Three area athletes won individual gold medals at the WIAA 1B/2B/1A Track and Field State Championships at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima, May 29-31. Davenport junior Glenna Soliday won two hurdle races, Reardan senior Evan Krupke won the triple jump and Odessa senior Lily Starkel won the high jump. In addition, the Screaming Eagles' 4x400 relay team consisting of Jakari Singleton, Blake Wynecoop, Krupke and Gabe Branstetter also won a state championship.
