DAVENPORT — Funding cuts to the Lincoln County Veterans Office, effective April 25, 2025, terminated its sole employee, Veterans Service Officer Clif Warwick. The cuts, driven by reduced funding for AmeriCorps and its VetCorps program, overseen by the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs, ended Warwick’s contract, which ran from September 2024 to April 2025.
Warwick, who worked 40 hours per week out of the Lincoln County Veterans Office at 303 6th St., Davenport, assisted veterans across the county’s 2,300 square miles, home to approximately 1,100 veterans, or 11% of the population. He su...
