Lincoln County rejects sanctuary status

Affirms federal cooperation

LINCOLN COUNTY — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners passed Resolution 2025-18 on Thursday, declaring the county is not a sanctuary jurisdiction and expressing support for the Trump administration’s policies on national security, economic prosperity, and immigration enforcement.

The resolution follows a Department of Homeland Security list that incorrectly labeled Lincoln County among 36 of Washington’s 39 counties as “sanctuary jurisdictions” obstructing federal immigration laws.
