DAVENPORT — Students across Lincoln County will receive free, personalized backpacks filled with school supplies through a community-wide drive organized by Zion Lutheran Church and supported this year by Pioneer Title.
The annual Back-to-School Supply Drive began Wednesday, July 30, and runs through Friday, August 15. Families must register in advance for their children to receive a backpack tailored to their school, grade level and teacher’s supply list.
“We never turn anybody away,” said Brenda Guhlke, outreach committee chair at Zion Lutheran Church. “We serve the whole county.”
