DAVENPORT — Farmers in Lincoln County may soon lose access to glyphosate, one of their most widely used weed-killers, following a federal commission’s report raising health concerns about the chemical.
The “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) Commission—established by Executive Order 14212 on February 13, 2025—has identified glyphosate as potentially harmful to children. The report cited links to cancer, liver inflammation and developmental issues, and called for reevaluating its use in agriculture nationwide.
