County primary sees low turnout
DAVENPORT — Preliminary results from Lincoln County’s Aug. 5 primary election show several candidates leading their races and strong voter support for a hospital levy, with final certification scheduled for Aug. 19.
As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, 1,731 ballots were tallied out of 8,756 registered voters across 46 precincts, for a turnout of 19.77%. Approximately 100 ballots remain to be counted. The next scheduled count is Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. Results were last tabulated at 8:04 p.m. on Aug. 5.
