High-speed chase leads drug case

DAVENPORT — A woman tied to an October high-speed chase through Lincoln County is now facing a felony drug charge after police say they uncovered methamphetamine and other narcotics following a search of the suspect’s vehicle, according to court documents.

Mary Jean Terressa Smith, 43, signed a continuance in Lincoln County Superior Court, Tuesday, Aug. 12, that waived her right to a speedy trial.

Her trial, originally set for Sept. 10, is now scheduled for Oct. 15 at 9 a.m., with a readiness hearing on Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m..
