2025 school year begins next week

DAVENPORT — Classrooms across Lincoln County will welcome students next week, with Davenport, Harrington, and Odessa schools starting Wednesday, Aug. 27, and Reardan School District beginning Monday, Aug. 25.

Davenport superintendent Chad Prewitt said staff have been preparing for the new year. “Next Wednesday will be our first day of school,” he said. “Everyone is excited to welcome the kids back.”

The district added new staff, is considering bringing back driver’s education, and expanded college-level classes for students to possibly earn associate degrees while in high school.
