Judge resets dates in case; maintains plea
DAVENPORT - The trial of a local man accused in the death of a 5-month-old boy has been pushed to April 2026 after attorneys said they need more time to gather medical records from experts.
Jordan Russell Mills-Jay, 31, is charged with first-degree manslaughter and second-degree murder in the June 21, 2023, death of an infant referred to in court records as "Zander."
Visiting Judge Roger Sandberg of Whitman County presided over Tuesday's Sept. 2 readiness hearing in Lincoln County Superior Court, with the Washington Attorney General's Office prosecuting.
