Irene Evelyn (Simpson) Raines passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 27, 2025.

Irene was born on July 16, 1928, on her family's farm in DeWitt, Iowa. She moved to Spokane Valley with her parents and siblings in 1937 and later graduated from Otis Orchards High School. In 1946, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Bill L. Raines. The two built their life together in Spokane Valley, raising their family with love and faith.
