Gorillas volleyball secures second place

DAVENPORT — The Gorillas volleyball team finished second in the bronze bracket at the Sheridan-Welch Tournament on Saturday,

Sept. 27. Coached by Jill Morrison and assistant Kristi Bell, the team finished 1-2 in pool play and advanced to the bronze bracket, where it went 3-1 and secured second place, an improvement from last year.

Senior Naomi Rainwater led the Gorillas with 74 kills.

Junior Tatum Hupp recorded 54 digs and 8 aces, and senior Faith Bell contributed 48 assists.
