Tommy Franklin Shirey (Tom) passed away suddenly in Pahoa, Hawaii on June 6, 2025, at the age of 65. Tom was born on Feb. 1, 1960, in Columbia, South Carolina. His parents were Gerri Franklin, Shirey and Velma May Carroll. With the loss of both his parents at an early age, Tom became a foster child and lived in several homes in the Davenport area while attending the Davenport schools, where he excelled in sports and graduated in 1978.
