Highway 2 closed for hours
REARDAN — One person was killed and another injured Friday, Oct. 24, in a head-on crash involving an SUV and a garbage truck about four miles east of town.
The driver of the car was killed; the Washington State Patrol has not yet released the driver's name, age or hometown.
The truck driver, Porter T. Fulps, 27, of Spokane, was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center and later released.
The crash occurred about 10:27 a.m. on U.S. Highway 2 near milepost 268.
