13 year old Florence Spadoni of Irby suffered a broken arm by a cow she was trying to drive the animal from the yard. She was treated by Dr. Thompson in Odessa and is on the mend.

Frank Anderson of Peach was arrested and brought to the county jail. He is charged with grand larceny for his part in a calf stealing case that also involved Roy Gilmoure.

Two Ford cars met in a head on crash near the Central Washington trestle on the Reardan-Edwall road. No one in either of the vehicles was seriously injured.
