Gorillas, Eagles qualify for state

COLFAX — Davenport and Reardan runners punched tickets to the WIAA state cross country meet in Pasco Saturday, Nov. 8, after strong showings at the District 6 1B/2B Regional Championship last Friday at Colfax Golf Club.

Davenport qualified four athletes: eighth-grader Addy O’Connell (32nd, 21:43.0), sophomore Charlotte Soliday (16th, 20:07.2), senior Josie Wynecoop (12th, 20:02.8) and junior Kyler Davenport (14th boys 2B, 17:08.8).

Reardan advanced sophomore Simon Sobotta, who placed 23rd in the boys 2B race in 17:55.2.
