Turkey Bingo boosts community funds
Sprague Chamber of Commerce members gather Thursday, Nov. 20, at the monthly meeting to review upcoming events, approve standard operating procedures, and celebrate a successful Turkey Bingo that raised more than last year's total.
SPRAGUE - The Sprague Chamber of Commerce celebrated a stronger financial showing this year at Turkey Bingo during its Thursday, Nov. 20, meeting.
The popular event raised $186.30 more than last year, selling 2,203 tickets and keeping every table packed from the start. After covering the cost of turkeys, the chamber netted $603.50.
The meeting, called to order at 7 p.m., included a review of previous minutes and updates on upcoming events.
The chamber's ending balance is $1,442.86, which President Tim Wilken said is average for this time of year, especially with the annual banquet and auction...
