Road vacation postponed, bridges prioritized

DAVENPORT - Lincoln County commissioners met Monday, Jan. 5, discussing bridge projects, road vacations and local shooting ranges.
County Engineer James Wege said he contacted Road Operations Manager Dave Sanford to see if the commissioners could inspect a property Thursday. Any road vacation requests will be discussed at the next meeting.
Consultants working on county bridges are close to completing assessments, Wege said, but all three bridges must be addressed this year. Commissioner Rob Coffman noted that one bridge, on Miles-Creston Road, cost more than the county shop. Public Works Direc...
