DAVENPORT - The City Council moved forward with plans to expand the municipal airport and approved higher rates for water, sewer and garbage services during its regular meeting Jan. 14.
The council unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-02, granting Mayor Brad Sweet authority to sign a 30-year ground lease with local pilot Tim O'Connell for space C-6 at the Davenport Municipal Airport. O'Connell intends to construct a personal hangar on the leased ground.
