Reardan OKs streets policy

REARDAN — The Town Council unanimously approved Ordinance 2603, its first Complete Streets policy, during Wednesday’s meeting.

The ordinance integrates Complete Streets principles into all transportation planning, construction, reconstruction, retrofits, maintenance and repair projects funded wholly or partly by the town. It also encourages private developers and other agencies to follow the same standards inside town limits.

Council members noted the policy is now required for most grant applications.
