Woman reports gun brandishing

SPRAGUE — A woman reported a gun brandishing incident from last fall after she accidentally flashed her high beams while driving through town.

Hayden Ann Powell of Spokane told Deputy Blake Martin on March 23 that the event occurred in November 2025 while she was traveling on Sprague Highway Road E in broad daylight. She said a heavy-set white man in his 60s with gray hair and a small dog pulled beside her in a silver Ford SUV, brandished a gun, and then followed her northbound on State Route 23 for some distance before she lost him.
