DAVENPORT - A town hall meeting Tuesday, May 5, spotlighted the status of the federal farm bill and its potential benefits for local agriculture.
5th Congressional District Rep. Michael Baumgartner, R-Spokane, led the discussion as well as fielding questions on tariffs, immigration and public lands.
The congressman opened the hour-long event at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds by updating constituents on his work in Washington, D.C.
He emphasized the farm bill as a major priority for rural Eastern Washington.
