DAVENPORT - Broadband Director Margie Hall reported steady progress and renewed community interest across several phases of the county's high-speed internet expansion during the commissioners meeting Monday, May 4.
Hall updated Commissioners Scott Hutsell and Jo Gilchrist; Rob Coffman was absent.
Residents in the Northridge development near Davenport and Wilbur have encouraged officials to restart construction of their stalled fiber network.
Hall said Northwest Line Builders is willing to take on the work and has ideas to minimize risk to the existing water system.
