Driver cited in work zone

DAVENPORT — A driver was cited after her Jeep struck a state Department of Transportation dump truck in a state Highway 25 construction zone Wednesday morning, May 27.

Julie Ann Stranburg of Beaverton, Oreg., was southbound in a 2023 Jeep Gladiator, entered the flagged construction zone at Milepost 6 and became confused, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office records show.

She believed she was supposed to follow the dump truck, driven by Joshua Kelly Houck of Harrington, records show. But when the vehicle stopped and began backing up, she hit its bumper.
