Vacancy must be filled within 90 days
DAVENPORT — Davenport is losing a longtime council member who frequently served as mayor pro tem, prompting the city to begin the process of filling the seat within 90 days.
Patrick Katz resigned from the At-Large position. During the June 24 meeting, council members publicly thanked him for his years of service and for stepping in as mayor pro tem on multiple occasions when Mayor Brad Sweet was absent. Katz had served several terms on the council and was known for his steady presence during absences.
