Pickup burns on Highway 231

REARDAN — A pickup truck caught fire on state Highway 231 Friday afternoon, June 16.

Christopher Judge called 911 to report his white 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup was on fire in the middle of a canyon, dispatch records show.

Reardan Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. The vehicle was safely off the roadway.

Washington State Patrol was notified, and law enforcement assisted on scene. The registered owner of the vehicle is David Lyle Smith of Ford....
