Highway to close during parade

DAVENPORT — U.S. Highway 2 will be closed through downtown on Saturday morning, July 18, for the Pioneer Days parade, with additional street closures in place throughout the day.

The closure on the highway, locally known as Morgan Street, will run from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday from 10th Street to Harker Street, according to Dawn Canfield, Lincoln County Fairgrounds office manager. Additional closures will affect Seventh, Marshall, Harker and Park streets the same day.

Detour routes will be available during the closures. Canfield said there are no other road impacts or restrictions planned....
