Odessa chief offers Spillman update

ODESSA — Police Chief Ericka Rose updated the Town Council on the department’s implementation of the Spillman records management system.

During Monday’s meeting, July 13, Rose told the council that strict security and encryption requirements must be met before the system can go fully live. She said the city received a 15-page audit documenting digital and building security needs to be addressed.

“We’ve completed the structural security upgrades, including door locks and signage,” Rose said. “Now, we’re working through the encryption requirements.”...
