ODESSA - A 17-year-old lifeguard is helping keep the Odessa Pool safe and welcoming this summer, turning long shifts into opportunities to connect with residents and create lasting memories for local families.
Katie Williams of Odessa said she returned for her third year because she enjoys getting to know the public and making the pool a place where everyone feels welcome.
"I really enjoy seeing all the people and getting to know the public a little more," Williams said. "I like making the pool a place where people feel welcome to come."
