HARRINGTON - Firefighters from multiple agencies spent hours Tuesday, July 28, battling a haystack fire on Coal Springs Road off State Route 28 between Harrington and Davenport that remained active Wednesday as crews worked to extinguish it before stronger winds return.
Harrington Fire District 6 crews arrived on scene about 3:40 p.m. after a page at 3:20 p.m. and found one haystack fully involved, according to Fire Chief Brandon Larmer.
