Grass fire ignites near Odessa

ODESSA — A fire was reported starting in a ditch along State Route 28 near milepost 109 on Sunday afternoon, according to Lincoln County sheriff’s office records.

The call came in around 2:43 p.m. Aug. 2. The fire was on the eastbound side of the road near Doggett Road, on the Harrington-Odessa line. Harrington and Odessa fire departments were paged. Harrington later advised other units could stand down, the report states....
