REARDAN — Stolen and vandalized license-plate cameras will be insured and put back up after the Town Council voted Thursday, Sept. 3, to buy Flock Safety’s protection insurance.
The insurance costs $500 plus tax per camera per year.
Clerk-Treasurer Sam Mathis said two cameras were installed in February 2024 and a third in May 2024. Two were stolen July 6.
The first was replaced at no charge.
Another camera was later stolen and a third vandalized.
Replacement cameras cost $864.80.
