Town braces for festival crowd
Odessa High School students set out benches Wednesday, Sept. 16, in preparation for Deutschesfest.
ODESSA - Deutschesfest weekend is set to nearly double the town, and officials say the focus is safety, traffic and a welcome for people coming home.
Police Chief Ericka Rose said the department will concentrate on safety while people have fun and stay available for any emergency. Officers are working with Odessa EMTs and the fire department. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and Washington State Patrol will help with patrols.
