Rep. Baumgartner outraising Conroy

SPOKANE -If campaign contributions are any indication of the outcome of a congressional race, Rep. Michael Baumgartner has already secured a win in his re-election bid for the 5th Congressional District seat.

According to Federal Election Commission data, Baumgartner, a Spokane Republican, has collected nearly $1.2 million in donations to his campaign.

His challenger, Democrat Carmela Conroy of Spokane, has only about a quarter of Baumgartner's financial support.

The winner will represent Lincoln County as part of the Eastern Washington's 5th Congressional District.
