SPOKANE – Davenport and Reardan competed with 19 other schools Saturday, Sept. 12, in the annual Highlander Invitational at Shadle Park High School. Rather than splitting teams by school classifications, the Highlander organizes races strictly by grade level. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors all raced in separate 2.5-mile heats, giving 1B and 2B athletes a chance to compete head-to-head against athletes from 3A and 4A schools.
