Tigers take two on the road

ODESSA — Odessa answered its season-opening loss with two road volleyball wins, beating Moses Lake Christian Academy in four sets and sweeping Wilson Creek.

Coach Alli Schroeder said the Tigers bounced back quickly after falling to Wilbur-Creston-Keller. The staff has been working on mental toughness and a next-play routine.

“Instead of allowing the loss to carry into the rest of the week, they responded with two consecutive road wins,” Schroeder said.

Odessa dropped the first set at Moses Lake Christian 15-25, then won 25-15, 25-15, 25-23. Oceanna Reeves and Leah Claassen each had 11 kills. J...
