Teacher pleads guilty in student-sex case

SPRAGUE - A former high school math and science teacher is in jail awaiting sentencing in a student-sex case.

Madeline Marie Gregory Scoon, 30, of Cheney, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Oct. 6, to first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class C felony. Shortly thereafter, she was booked into the Lincoln County Jail in Davenport to await sentencing next month.

Lincoln County Superior Court Judge Adam Walser scheduled sentencing for 10 a.m. Nov. 20 in the Lincoln County Courthouse.
