    Eugene Lawrence (Larry) Peters of Odessa died August 20, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1954 to Jack and Peggy (Asbury) Peters in Vancouver, British Columbia. He graduated from North Vancouver High School and served two summers as an army cadet. He moved to Portland, Ore. in the late 1980s to join the American Custom Gunmakers Guild.     Recently, as you may recall, the girls of Scout Troop #3362 carried out various fund-raising activities which included selling laundry soap and cheesecakes and hosting a clothing drive in order to raise $16,000 (each girl was responsible for raising a minimum of $2,000) for travel expenses to Washington, D.C.
